get rid of remove You have new mail in /var/mail/username on a Mac

open a terminal and use

mail

at the prompt, then

to delete one message or

d1-4

for for four messages.

Then

to quit

To get rid off this error in linux; open terminal and type sudo a2enmod rewrite and enter ur password and ur done after that re-start ur apache using following command sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
